Alfred Dunhill Links Championship East Cost

Last week Security Scotland’s Events Division provided over 100 staff to the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in the East Coast of Scotland. The Championship is one of the richest golf tournaments on the European Tour and is played on three different links courses, centred at the "home of golf"- St Andrews, in Fife. Our teams were deployed over the three courses – the historic Old Course at St Andrews, the Championship Course at Carnoustie and the 'modern classic', Kingsbarns. Our teams provided a range of security services across the three courses in addition to clubhouse and hospitality pavilion services which ranged from our SIA Licensed Security teams, Asset Protection teams, Close Protection Officers, Behavioural Detection Officers and Customer Safety Stewards. The tournament is a pro-am and some of the returning celebrities this year included Ronan Keating, Jamie Redknapp, Piers Morgan, Andy Garcia, Ian Botham, Wladimir Klitschko, Ruud Gullit & Andriy Shevchenko. Riverside Festival

Last weekend our Crowd Management Team safely facilitated the enjoyment of just under 20,000 revellers to the Riverside Festival in Glasgow. Riverside organisers promised they would make up for lost time and they certainly kept to their word.  Over the weekend, music lovers enjoyed sets from headline acts Jamie xx, Disclosure, Amelie Lens and Skream as well as a string of the world’s most cutting-edge DJs. Organisers decided they would celebrate their first festival back in 2 years even more special, by adding an extra day and turning the event into a 3-day weekender. Security Scotland’s Managing Director James Glackin commented “ Our team was openly praised by the event organisers, the event safety team and Police Scotland, which is always very pleasing to cascade to our team”.
