While this initiative is taking place in London the principles and changes can be applied to areas across the UK.<\/p>\n<p>As security operatives are often working in these areas they are best placed to educate the public and help prevent street robbery. Having received training to work in the industry, licensed operatives will be aware of many of the steps th<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">at can be taken to prevent street robbery.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_show\">\n<p>Still, as a reminder, here are recommendations to make to the public:<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"_5mfr\"><span class=\"_6qdm\">\ud83d\udea8<\/span><\/span> Stay aware of your surroundings and pay attention to who\u2019s around you.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"_5mfr\"><span class=\"_6qdm\">\ud83d\udea8<\/span><\/span>Keep valuables such as mobile phones, watches and cash out of sight.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"_5mfr\"><span class=\"_6qdm\">\ud83d\udea8<\/span><\/span>Plan your route home.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"_5mfr\"><span class=\"_6qdm\">\ud83d\udea8<\/span><\/span>Look confident You are less likely to be targeted if you look confident.
