Police Scotland’s Event Command Course
Security Scotland’s football Operations Teams were delighted to be invited to take part in Police Scotland’s Event Command Course at the Fountain of Youth Stadium, Hamilton yesterday.
The course was attended by 34 Senior Officers and is designed to provide Event Commanders with the skills & knowledge to effectively plan, manage & develop contingencies for a range of events.
Superintendent John McBride delivered an excellent session on the “Role of the Event Commander” with inputs from Bob Park – Safety Officer at Motherwell Football Club and a very informative input from Category 1 Referee Nick Walsh on the football laws of the game.
Managing Director James Glackin commented “to be invited along to such a high-profile session and get a real insight into how one of our strategic event partners operates was fantastic for our team as we continue forging relationships in the football & event world.
