Scottish Parliamentary Elections

Last week our Events Team were deployed at Braehead Arena for the Scottish Parliamentary Elections.

Votes were being counted at the Arena, in Renfrew, for Renfrewshire’s three constituencies and the West Scotland region over Friday & Saturday.

Our team supported more than 200 counting staff and other agencies in various roles, with heightened security and enhanced Covid-19 health and safety measures in place to ensure a safe environment for everyone attending.

As part of our events team we also deployed some of our Specialist Security Officers (SSO’s) who are trained specifically in detecting individuals with criminal or hostile intentions by observing their behaviours and activities.

Braehead Arena Operations Team commented “Please pass on my thanks to all your team for their hard work over the past week in the arena. The client was delighted with the level of service and the manner in which the team performed their role whilst getting the job done to their usual high standard. Hopefully we’ll have an opportunity sooner rather than later to do it all again at Braehead”.
