Today is World Suicide Prevention Day.
World Suicide Prevention Day aims to start the conversation about suicide and to show that recovery is possible. While there has been a reduction in the number of people completing suicide over the last ten years, the numbers are still worryingly high.
International Association for Suicide Prevention and @take5tosavelives encourages everyone to take 5 minutes out of their day and complete five action items:
1. Learn the warning signs
2. Do your part
3. Practise self-care
4. Reach out
5. Spread the word
World Suicide Prevention day is hosted by #IASP – for more information, please visit:
