Security Scotland were delighted to be part of TTF’s 30th Anniversary show at Braehead Arena at the weekend. Our Security & Safety personnel looked after the safety and welfare of all in attendance. The feedback from the organisers was excellent who commented on how our staff played a key part as the perfect first point of contact, welcoming the public at the various pick & drop off areas, entry system as well as in & around the arena. Well done all!

Today, the country marks the 5th anniversary of the Manchester Arena terror attack and will subsequently pay its respects to the 22 people killed. Our thoughts are always with all the families and loved ones of the 22 victims on this day. The sombre anniversary will be marked with tributes to those who lost their lives and reflections on the appalling events. Acts of remembrance will be held throughout Manchester City Centre, including at landmark locations and major public events. The people of Manchester will pay their respects to the victims of the attack throughout the day at the Glade of Light memorial.

Last week, our Events Planning Team were busy attending meetings at 2 of the most prestigious golf courses in Scotland – The Renaissance Club in Gullane and Gleneagles by Auchterarder. The Renaissance Club will host this year’s Genesis Scottish Open which is one of five tournaments that are part of the Rolex Series, which identifies it as one of the European Tour's premier events. Gleneagles will host The Senior Open Presented by Rolex for the first time when the iconic Scottish venue welcomes Europe’s only Senior Major Championship in 2022. Our managing director, James Glackin commented “the Scottish Open is always the one our team look forward to as it’s the first in the golf season for us and it’s been 4 years since the Senior Open was last in Scotland which is another event we are very fond of”.
