Security Scotland has established a strong presence in the golfing world in recent years by helping to deliver some of the biggest golf events in Scotland.

With over a decade of golf security experience, Security Scotland not only has the know-how on how well-structured golf event security should be delivered, but also the experience and outstanding track record that sets us apart from others in the industry.

On top of this, our Management Team has significant experience in performing senior roles at the global golf events such as the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles and now more recently the below.

  • Aberdeen Standards Investment Scottish Open 2018 / 2019 / 2020
  • Senior’s Open 2018
  • AIG Women’s British Open 2020

We understand our people are often the first point of human contact that members of the public have when they attend a golfing event, so we ensure that everyone gets a warm welcome from a friendly, fully briefed and knowledgeable member of staff on a consistent basis.

Pre, during & post event, we take pride in forging close working relationships with the other golf partner agencies, course officials and local authorities to ensure we provide a high standard of security and stewarding, with the prime aim of spectator enjoyment and safety.

In terms of event planning, we have a detailed understanding of the Health and Safety processes, logistical challenges, and weather related welfare issues that golf events often present, so we continually discuss these moving parts via our contingency documentation which fits seamlessly into your plans and creates a successful competition.

Throughout 2020 our usual planning for Golf events somewhat changed due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Our focus widened and we also had to take into consideration the below:

  • Physical distancing implementation
  • Temperature checking
  • Facemask management
  • Onsite information – hand sanitising reminder

We encourage feedback from members of the public in regards to security and crowd management operations.
