SIA ACS Audit

This week saw Security Scotland audited by the SSAIB, our UKAS accredited awarding body for various leading industry accreditations that we are annually audited on. Schemes that include the SIA ACS (Approved Contractor Scheme) which we have been involved in for the last 15 years, ISO 9001 and the 119 Codes of Practice in Security. We are proud to announce that we continued to increase our year on year score from our 2023 audit, placing us securely within the Top 5 % of all ACS accredited suppliers in the UK for the first time. We are delighted with the outcome of the audit, and to be in the company of only 33 other companies out of just under 800 ACS companies registered throughout the UK, to achieve such a prestigious score. ongratulations to our February 2024, Employee of the Month Nancy Bamfo! Nancy has always adopted a can-do approach since she joined the company in May 2023, Nancy started her employment here at Security Scotland as a Safety/Customer care steward, but it wasn’t long until we realised her potential in security through her friendly but vigilant approach in every task she undertakes. Nancy has successfully gained her SIA Door Supervisor licence in February this year and has welcomed all training courses made available to her.  Nancy is well respected by all clients and colleagues of Security Scotland. Her versatility skill sets means she is utilised over all our security sectors ranging from stadia to corporate events, her attention to detail, in conjunction with her high level customer service skills are excellent attributes to have, which only enhance our brand.  This week some of our Senior Team attended the The United Kingdom Crowd Management Association AGM followed by the association’s inaugural 2-day “Safer Crowd, Safer Venues” conference in Middlesbrough.  We are also delighted to announce during the AGM, Chris Callaghan our Operations Director, was appointed as Vice Chair on to the United Kingdom Crowd Management Association board.  Chris Callaghan MSyI, commented on the appointment: “I’ve been involved with the UKCMA since 2010, and for the last couple of years sat on the Association’s Strategy Group. I am looking forward to supporting Annie and the new board members going forward and continuing the amazing work carried out by the dedicated Eric Stuart QPM and the previous board." Regan “The Shark” Glackin

Security Scotland Ltd are thrilled to announce that our sponsored athlete Regan ‘The Shark’ Glackin the current, defending Scottish Lightweight Champion, produced the biggest performance of his career at Doubletree by Hilton Glasgow Central on Saturday Night crowning him the NEW Celtic Lightweight Champion. All eyes were on Glackin as he advanced with a unanimous decision victory, meaning he kept his impeccable record of 13-0-0 (3KO). Security Scotland’s Security Team at the venue even managed to get a quick snap with he newly crowned champion.  We will continue to support Regan and follow him on his exciting journey towards the British Title.
