Security Scotland are proud to be an equal pay employer in both gender and age, if you are 18-21 or over 50’s we pay the same rate … after all age is just a number The Equal Pay Act 1970 was an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom that prohibited any less favourable treatment between men and women in terms of pay and conditions of employment. This is something that as an employer we strive to promote, not just in pay, but equality across the board! #Equality #Equalpayemployer
In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Security Scotland will be wearing the pink ribbon on our logo to raise awareness and show our support! #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth2023
Congratulations to our August Employee of the Month Eric Fulton! Eric has really excelled recently carrying out the role as Event Supervisor. Working at the Royal Highland Show, the Genesis Scottish Open, the AIG Women’s Open, and the Dundee & Edinburgh Kiltwalk. Eric has been excellent with the small things like introducing himself to staff, deploying staff into positions, spending time with staff ensuring they know their individual job roles, and ensuring staff were comfortable in their positions. Operations Director Chris Callaghan commented “Eric is a great addition to our Events Supervision Team, he’s always available to assist at events, great with the staff and a real shining example of how to conduct yourself as a Supervisor” Well done Eric, keep up the good work !

Congratulations to our July Employee of the Month Jamie Graham! Jamie’s all-round approach, professional standards and his overall work ethic has vastly improved the last 6 months, which can’t got without recognition. Jamie impressed company Directors whilst working operationally at Let’s Rock in Dalkeith, various Bellahouston events, TRNSMT and most recently at the Belladrum festival in the Highlands, to say he played a massive role in each event for his customer service roles would be an understatement. Managing Director James Glackin commented “Jamie raised concerns of suspicious behaviour of a festival attendee, which subsequently led to an assault, then police arrest, due to his quick actions, Jamie received full praise from the arresting officers for escalation, report accuracy and crime scene preservation techniques. Jamie has real potential to be a key member of staff and now wants to take the next steps in his CPD and be considered for SIA licence training at the
It’s been a busy couple of weeks for our Events Team at Braehead Arena recently. First it was the “Battle of the Legends” which saw former World Boxing Champion Ricky Burns fighting former British & Commonwealth Boxing Champion, Willie Limmond. Ricky Burns won the bout after the referee stopped proceedings in the 8th round. Then last Saturday the arena hosted the Scottish Football Masters which saw Celtic, Rangers, Hearts & Hibernian competing to see who would be crowned the Masters Champions 2023. Celtic played Hibernian in the final and ran away worthy winners beating the capital team 5-2 with Celtic’s Gary Hooper winning the competition’s Golden Boot Award. Our friendly and engaging Events Team always enjoy the variation the Arena space offers with these types of events, which continues again this Friday with the Glasgow Clan Ice Hockey Tea
Today, September 11 we remember the sacrifices of U.S. citizens and service members on the day that is forever burned into all our hearts and minds. As the towers fell, the Pentagon burned and the ground smouldered in that rural Pennsylvania field, the world rallied to stand arm-in-arm. Each year on 9/11, officially designated Patriot Day, we stand together again and proclaim "never forget."
