THUMBS UP!

It was #Thumbsup last weekend from our Events Team at Riverside Festival Glasgow on the banks of the River Clyde providing 24 hour site security and crowd management personnel on both show days. Glasgow’s Riverside Festival is one of the city’s best music events of the year and the sunny heatwave that engulfed the riverbanks provided festival goers a true summer vibe to the weekend. Security Scotland’s Director Mark Thorburn commented “Our team was openly praised by the event organisers, the event safety team and Police Scotland, which is always very pleasing to feedback to our hardworking teams.”

LEZ

Security Scotland, as accredited ECO Stars, are preparing for the introduction of Phase 2 of the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) in and around Scotland from 1st June 2023 Low Emissions Zones Scotland’s aim is to stop polluting vehicles entering an area, which improves air quality and helps to protect public health. This will be in operation 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all year round. Automatic Number Plate recognition cameras have been installed to monitor all vehicles driving in a LEZ, they will detect vehicles which do not comply with the standards and issue a Penalty Charge Notice. We are delighted our clients in the city centre are working together to achieve this environmental aim.
