EOTM

Congratulations to our June EOTM Michelle Connolly Michelle joined our team as a part time event safety steward just over a year ago but it feels like she has been part of our team since the start!  Immediately fitting in with the team Michelle has received excellent feedback from our clients, our client’s customers and of course from our own team. Bubbly, friendly and always with a big smile on her face Michelle’s professional approach to work has certainly paid off. James Glackin, commented, “From the day Michelle joined Security Scotland she has embraced every shift with such a welcoming can do attitude. I’m sure everyone that has had the pleasure of working alongside Michelle would agree how her first impressions have such a lasting effect on all who meet her, staff and clients alike! Keep up the good work Michelle!”

Comic Con

Security Scotland were delighted to support our client Braehead Arena for the third year. Showmasters Events Film & Comic Con returned to Glasgow on the 22nd & 23rd July 2023 for yet another a fun filled weekend.  The arena was overtaken by various trader stalls where fans could search for those hard-to-find items, enjoy the cosplay competitions, and browse in the comic zone with the comic creators.  Numerous stars were in attendance also including Philip Glenister, Colin Baker and Mandip Gill who took part in interactive talks, autographs and photoshoots with their fans. Our team ensured the safety of those who came along to geek out and conducted safe searches of all those who attended including those with Weapons and Props and full cosplay outfits. We had an excellent weekend and thankfully all those attending were very cooperative and well behaved… from Chewbacca to K9 !!

Security Officer Day

This week we celebrated International Security Officer’s Day!  We thanked those essential workers who are putting themselves at risk to keep us safe everyday. The reason why its celebrated on July 24th is to reflect the 24/7 nature of the security industry. These amazing people work tirelessly, sometimes giving up time away from friends and family, to keep other people and property safe.  Its was great to give our workers the thanks that they deserve and recognize the hard work of all of our security staff! Stewards, Security Officers, Door Supervisors alike, thank you for all of the work you do.
