Our busiest summer yet !!

In one of our busiest summers yet, Security Scotland has thrived by providing a host of security services, such as Front of Stage Pit Safety, at a variety of extremely popular outdoor shows throughout Scotland and England.  Some of these incredible events took place in and around Glasgow including Harry Styles, Noel Gallagher, Green Day, Scooter and TTF. Stereophonics, Simply Red and Rag’n’boneman put on amazing shows in Dundee.  Texas provided great entertainment in Stirling and Tom Jones and Paloma Faith raised the roof in Carlisle.  We had the opportunity to tour with Ed Sheeran and the Guardforce Security team throughout the whole of his UK tour.  Finally, some of our staff even had the chance to stay overnight in the Highlands and Islands for an amazing few days to provide event safety security services to several outdoor festivals, something that our teams look forward to returning to every year.  Taking into consideration all

National Hate Crime Awareness Week 2022

This week marks National Hate Crime Awareness Week, and with this upcoming weekend, it is important to highlight that hate crimes of any kind are not tolerated.  If you witness, or are subjected to any hate crime, make your security staff aware to keep yourself and others safe. Additionally, as security staff, it is part of our job to sometimes make unpopular decisions to keep the public and premises' safe, which can result in angry customers. Even though we do what we can to de-escalate any situation, hate crime on security staff is not tolerated and should be taken seriously and reported accordingly. Let’s all work together to bring an end to hate and prejudice in the UK.

Security Scotland and Eilean Dorcha Festival (EDF)

Since its inception in 2016 we have supplied the Security Services at Eilean Dorcha Festival (EDF) and it has fast become an event that is very close to our hearts.  Director, Mark Thorburn stated: “I have personally worked at EDF every year on the island from the beautiful journey up to the ferry over. Some of our staff enjoy it that much that they take time away from their full-time job to go and work at the festival. The festival has become known as the ‘friendly festival’ and we have not had one incident since it started. The islanders are so friendly and welcome us back each year and I can’t wait until next year to see them all again for the weekend… the only problem is, it’s all over to quickly!!” EDF recently released a statement regarding their annual festival: "Eilean Dorcha Festival, the weekend music festival held in a spectacular beach-side  setting

Excellent Training Feedback

Security Scotland prides itself in encouraging growth and continuous professional development for all our staff members. One way that we do this is by providing in-house training, from essential First Aid and SIA Top-Up training to full Door Supervisor courses, Fire Marshall training and UEFA Stewarding training, to name a few. Training is a great employee benefit and an opportunity that we always encourage our staff to take full advantage of.  As Security Scotland expands, developing this newest department to the benefit of our team is something that we are continuously working towards. For ‘World Teachers Day’, we want to share some of the excellent feedback that our training department and our tutor George Jaffray have been given.
