Scottish Open

At the weekend Security Scotland were proud to provide the security and customer service stewards to the DP World Tour’s, Genesis Scottish Open which was held at the prestigious Renaissance Club in North Berwick.

The Genesis Scottish Open is a professional golf tournament in Scotland and is one of five tournaments that are part of the Rolex Series, which identifies it as one of the Tour’s premier events.

Our team enjoyed an array of weather conditions while carrying out their duties with a friendly and engaging smile keeping all attendees safe and secure as they enjoyed a thrilling end to the tournament which say Rory McIlroy marginally pipped Scottish golfer Robert McIntyre for the trophy, McIlroy’s first

ever trophy on Scottish soil.

Our team of 80 staff covered all the key event positions around the course that included the event entry system, the clubhouse, hospitality areas, the halfway house, Gullane beach patrol, player protection and the presentation ceremony.

Our Operations Director, Chris Callaghan commented “We’ve been providing our services to this event since 2018. It’s our first golf event of the season and our staff, including myself, always look forward to working it, especially working with the regular faces from the DP World Tour delivery team who are first class operators”.
