The SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) provides a recognised hallmark of quality within the private security industry. This is a progressive quality standard which means the standard that companies must meet in order to be approved is continually assessed. This assessment is done over 78 different areas of a business, from health and safety to finance to staff training and beyond. It encourages businesses to tailor their service to the needs of the customer and ensures a high quality of service. Security Scotland has been SIA approved since 2009.
International Dog Day is celebrated on the 26th of August every year. This day is all about paying tribute to these incredible animals who work selflessly to bring comfort, keep us safe, and save lives. Here are a few of our own Dogs in Security. To celebrate International Dogs Day yesterday, we thought it would be fitting to introduce you to one of our most loved members of the office, Chewie.
Women’s Equality Day is all about uplifting and empowering women, and celebrating how far women have progressed, defying all odds and oppression. The security Industry used to be considered a male dominated industry, but today we are seeing less of that gender imbalance, with more women in security now than ever before. But this can always be improved. We want to advocate for gender equality in Security Scotland and encourage more women to apply for positions in security and safety. If you have ever considered working for us, check out our website for our current vacancies: https://securityscotland.com/join-the-team/

On World Humanitarian Day (#WHD) August 19th, the world commemorates humanitarian workers killed and injured in the course of their work, and we honour all aid and health workers who continue, despite the odds, to provide life-saving support and protection to people most in need.
We asked our team to send us some of their favourite photos of them at work with their teams and we loved the feedback we received. We are so glad to know that our workplace is one where people work hard and also create lasting friendships.
