SIA fraudulent SIA Licences statement

The SIA have provided a statement about fraudulent SIA Licences: "We recently ran an investigation operation supported by the National Counter Terrorism Security Office ( NaCTSO) to help event organisers and licensed premises understand how best to vet and assess SIA licence holders hired to protect sites. The success of the operation and our investigations meant that nearly 50 licences were seized. Our licence holders have an important job to identify potential threats to public safety, including terrorism. Therefore, due diligence must be undertaken to ensure staff are suitable to take on this role." To read more about this visit the gov.uk website, however to find out how to spot a fraudulent SIA licence see the advice below:

July Employee of the month

Lets do a throwback to our July Employee of the month, Bert Scott.  Bert joined Security Scotland post early retirement as he wasn’t yet ready to put his feet up and was keen to be involved in something that would give him a nice bit of variety until he was ready!! Working with us now for almost four years, Bert is always friendly and approachable and receives great feedback from other members of our team as well as from clients and partner agencies we work alongside. Bert recently received excellent feedback from a Police Scotland Counter Terrorism Security Coordinator regarding his proactive and engaging manner with members of the public whilst on duty. Well done, Bert!

Security Scotland’s Summer of Music Festivals

This summer has been one of Security Scotland’s busiest and most exciting summers to date, and a large contributing factor to this was our contracts with some of the best and most popular music festivals that Scotland has to offer. These events included TRNSMT Festival, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, Let’s Rock 80s Festival with Let's Rock Scotland, Coloursfest, Eilean Dorcha Festival, The Gathering Festival and Riverside Festival Glasgow. Every single one of these fantastic events are returning clients that have been delighted in previous years with our delivery of event safety and security services, which is something we take massive pride in. Security Scotland Operations Director, Chris Callaghan commented: “It was a pleasure seeing all the planning and preparation for these festivals coming to fruition, they all have their own individual challenges and the level of detail covered is so crucial on show days. What is equally pleasing is retaining these events year
