#ProjectServator

#ProjectServator is a policing tactic that aims to disrupt a range of criminal activity, including terrorism, while providing a reassuring presence for the public. Highly visible and unpredictable deployments will be carried out across the country by police officers specially trained to identify individuals who may be planning or preparing to commit a crime. Key to the success of Project Servator is the support of security partners like ourselves, businesses and the general public to be extra eyes and ears for the Police, reporting anything that doesn’t seem right, to help make it even harder for criminals to succeed. The campaign aims to support operational policing in helping to build a network of vigilance and encourage the reporting of suspicious or unusual activity. Police Scotland

Police Scotland launched their annual national 'After Dark' campaign on the 11th October 2021. The campaign will run until Monday 25th October 2021 and is designed to raise awareness around home security. In particular they are reminding homeowners to make their home appear occupied during the early evenings as the darker nights set in. A house that looks unoccupied can become a target for criminals. There are some simple things a householder can do to make their home less of a target. These include ensuring windows and doors are locked, fitting outside security lighting and using timer switches on some internal lights. St Andrews Links Clubhouse Security & Safety Team

Our St Andrews Links Clubhouse Security & Safety Team at the Old Course, St Andrews received some fantastic feedback during their week long deployment at the recent Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Dorothy Murphy, Head of Food & Drink at St Andrews Links Trust commented “I just wanted to let you know what a pleasure it has been working with the Security Scotland team throughout the week of this year’s Dunhill. In my 15 years at St Andrews Links Trust, I have not worked with such a friendly, yet professional team of security staff. You have made all our lives so much easier not having to deal with issues in the restaurant as we have in previous years: you all performed your side of things so efficiently. It was a pleasure meeting you all and look forward to 2022”
