Congratulations to our November Employee of the Month Barbara Walker! Barbara is a excellent advocate for Security Scotland, who always carries out her role in all sectors of the business, consistently at the highest standards.  Recently, Barbara had to deal with a serious First Aid incident at the Edinburgh Playhouse, where she, without hesitation went above and beyond her duties even facilitating getting the casualties family to the hospital, which they have sent their heartfelt thanks and praise to Barbara. Congratulations to our October Employee of the Month Helen Flynn ! Helen is a regular worker for the company and always carries out her role in all sectors of the business to the best of her abilities, consistently at a very high standard. She is well respected by work colleagues, clients and all Head Office staff and Management. Helen is a great advocate for Security Scotland and will always encourage new and perspective applicants to join us.  Mark Thorburn, Director commented “Recently Helen was involved in an incident whilst carrying out her search duties at an event, that incident could easily have frightened off a less experienced staff member, but testament to her character, resilience and loyalty, Helen remains upbeat at all times in her operational role as an SIA Security Officer, and I hope she does for many years to come.

Congratulations to our September Employee of the Month Debbie Raeside! Debbie is a key consistent member of the matchday control room team at Kilmarnock FC, where she is well respected by our client, police Scotland and work colleagues, Debbie is a great ambassador for the company, she embraces all new staff with the warmest of welcomes when deployed at Rugby Park, during the summer Debbie has worked at various locations such as Lets Rock in Dalkeith and Braehead for Ricky Burns v Willie Limmond Boxing event, to name a couple, Debbie has also attended the recent updated supervisor/key personnel training course which will assist her in her CPD with the company. Congratulations to our July Employee of the Month Jamie Graham! Jamie’s all-round approach, professional standards and his overall work ethic has vastly improved the last 6 months, which can’t got without recognition.  Jamie impressed company Directors whilst working operationally at Let’s Rock in Dalkeith, various Bellahouston events, TRNSMT and most recently at the Belladrum festival in the Highlands, to say he played a massive role in each event for his customer service roles would be an understatement. Managing Director James Glackin commented “Jamie raised concerns of suspicious behaviour of a festival attendee, which subsequently led to an assault, then police arrest, due to his quick actions, Jamie received full praise from the arresting officers for escalation, report accuracy and crime scene preservation techniques. Marvellous Martyn

Marvellous Martyn’s Monday Security Scotland were delighted to present Martyn Payne with an Excellent Continuous Commitment award for his 15 years of continuous service. In 2008 Martyn walked through the doors of Security Scotland looking for a new employer and has never looked back through the good times and even through the more challenging times! Martyn is respected by his colleagues and our clients and as a result of his hard work Eddie Tobin, Chairman, held a presentation for him in our Glasgow Head Office to show our appreciation for everything he has done, and continues to do for Security Scotland. Our Company Directors stated, who would have thought that we would come this far?! Time flies when you’re making a difference and they are incredibly proud and thankful for all Martyn has contributed to the development of the company. Congratulations to our May EOTM Jamie-Leigh Bell. Jamie-Leigh joined our team as a part time event safety steward two years ago. Our team leaders spotted her potential and have invested in her continual professional development and Jamie-Leigh now works with our team for her full time career. She is working towards continually improving her personal standards and is now a qualified fire safety officer as well as an SIA Door Supervisor. Recently Jamie-Leigh received some great feedback from our clients highlighting that hard work and dedication pays off. Congratulations to our April EOTM Craig Nicholson. Craig has been part of our team for almost two years now and when he is working Craig is very proactive and strives to do a good job. Craig is always keen for direction, eager to learn new aspects of the industry and puts himself forward to assist when required. James Glackin commented “ Craig has excelled in his duties recently whilst transitioning into his recently promoted Supervisor role, this was pleasantly evident to witness when leading a team at Ayr festival when his staff’s welfare was at the forefront of his responsibilities”. Congratulations to Nicole Lockhart who is our February Employee of the Month !! As a core member of the Braehead Arena team Nicole is a longstanding member of our events team. Nicole is happy to travel all over the country covering a wide range of shifts, showcasing her talent from high end retail to security guarding nightshifts to hospitality at golfing tournaments. Always getting on well with clients and can integrate smoothly into their teams; Nicole works so hard wherever she goes. She recently received some excellent feedback from our client whilst working at Celtic Park as she assisted a customer who took unwell during their visit. The customer fed back their praises to our client and we were just delighted to pass this along to Nicole who was just glad to have been able to help at the time.
