This is some of our team at Celtic FC last week receiving their usual rolls, tea, coffee & soup ahead of being briefed and deployed into position. This is just one of the added benefits of working as a SIA Security or Safety Steward for Security Scotland on matchdays at some of our designated stadiums. SIA Update: Application Timeframes

Please see below for a quote from the SIA regarding application timescales: "We process around 10,000 applications every month. The time taken to process your application will be affected by many different factors: your address history, your nationality (insofar as it affects your right to work in the UK), your criminal record if you have one, whether you’ve spent time outside the UK, and so on. Most importantly, you can affect the speed of your application. We need the information you give us and if this is incorrect or incomplete then your application could be delayed, and it may even be cancelled. At the event one of my younger colleagues was very under the weather at the party night. I wanted to praise your security guards. They assisted my colleague throughout the evening. They arranged to get her water, a chair to sit in in the atrium, and phoned her a taxi. They stayed close until the taxi arrived and she was able to get into the taxi with her friend.
