Successful Weekend

Another busy and diverse weekend of events for the Security Scotland Events Team. Our team of friendly safety and security staff were at the @pavilionfestival in Ayr and the Falkirk v Inverness Caley Thistle @scottishcup Semi Final in Glasgow on Saturday. On Sunday we were back at Hampden again for the 2nd Scottish Cup Semi Final between Rangers & Celtic, the biggest ever Glasgow Kiltwalk , the STREETrave all dayer at Ayr and the @wkcscotland Scottish Open at Braehead Arena  We even managed to get Saturday’s Pavilion Festival headliner, @ewanmcvicar_ safely through the crowd from one stage to another disguised in our security uniform. #keepingpeoplesafe #summerevents

Beginning of ourEvents

Our Events Team were delighted to kick off the first show of our massive Spring / Summer Events Calendar on Saturday night at Braehead Arena with TTF, who were celebrating 30 years of New Emotion with their biggest ever show.  Some of the biggest names in 90’s dance music supported the Scottish dance act, with artists that included the Vengaboys, JX, Haddaway, DJ Sammy and Fragma. Huge thanks goes to our amazing events team who looked after the safety and welfare of the 5,000 friendly, party goers in attendance. Well done all! #summerevents #keepingpeoplesafe

World Earth Day

World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year on 7 April, under the sponsorship of the World Health Organization (WHO) that promotes physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Did you know at Security Scotland we provide and encourage FREE training to all our staff, including First Aid at Work (a 3-day course) and Emergency First Aid at Work (1-day course) to keep our customers and colleagues as safe and as healthy as possible.  #WorldHealthDay2023

Hostile Awareness

The internal course is counter terrorism focused and goes into greater detail on specific behaviours, traits, and the suspicious activity of potential terrorists.  The topics covered included: • Threat Levels • Hostile Reconnaissance • Behaviours • Baselining • Deterrence • Conformity • Hostile Mindset The course was compiled and delivered by a former Police Scotland Counter Terrorism Tactics Trainer, resulting in the content and methods being both accurate and very current. The timely roll out of the course is parallel with the impending Protect Duty legislation which will come into effect later this year. Protect Duty, now to be known as Martyn’s Law, will assist the UK stepping up its resilience to terrorism implementing the below: • New laws to keep people safe will scale up preparedness for, and protection from, terrorist attacks. • Better protection against the continued and evolving threat that the UK faces from terrorism. • Support, guidance, and training will help embe
