SIA Principles of safer restraint.

To promote safer practice during a physical intervention situation the SIA have produced a video to remind SIA operatives of the principles of safer restraint.  Operatives should always aim to take the least forceful option and take all necessary steps to keep themselves, and anyone being restrained, as safe as possible. International Men’s Day

International Men’s Day aims to create a positive conversation around men and masculinity, break down unhealthy stereotypes and raise awareness of charities that support men and boys in need. Pyrotechnic and Fire Safety Awareness training

Did you know that flares can burn at 2500°C? That’s higher than the melting point of iron!  With Pyrotechnics being so easy to access, its vital for anyone working in security to know how to confidently and safely react in an incident involving fire or pyrotechnics. Fire safety compliance is essential for most organisations and every member of the workforce has their part to play to ensure protocols are maintained.  Due to popular demand, we have added an additional Fire Safety course this month. To book onto this course or for more information, email: training@securityscotland.com
