Feb EOTM – Sam Steel

Congratulations to our February EOTM Sam Steel Sam responded in an excellent manner to a highly distressing incident. Whilst on site Sam viewed what initially seemed to be an intoxicated male passing by the site however whilst continuing his observations Sam’s concern for the individual caused him to react in the way which saved the man’s life.  Sam went above and beyond his role and his quick thinking whilst maintaining the Security of the site is the type of action we wish to be openly praising and acknowledging to get the best out of our colleagues. Well Done, Sam!!

Hostile Awareness Course – Pilot

Over the last few months, our Training Team have been working hard compiling a counter terrorism focused training course for our people that goes into greater detail than previous courses. The new pilot course – “Hostile Awareness”, focuses on specific behaviours, traits, and the suspicious activity of would-be terrorists. The course has been compiled by an ex-Police Scotland CT Tactics Trainer, so the methodology is current as well as the content all being available open source. This week saw the first cohort of candidate’s test driving this pilot course and the feedback was excellent.

January EOTM – Ian Forrest

Congratulations to our January EOTM Ian Forrest Ian is always very reliable, accommodating, and super helpful is just some of the feedback we have had for him…  and we agree!! His versatility allows him to pick-up last-minute requests or swich shifts last minute. We recieved good feedback from site leads regarding him as well as our event clients. Further feedback as have received is that Ian is always the first guy to be moving all the barriers and setting up The Edinburgh Playhouse.  He’s often seen sweeping up and removing all the rubbish around the doorway and is generally a helpful, pleasant chap! Well Done, Ian!!

Regularly washing our hands

Regularly washing our hands with soap and water still remains one of the most effective tools in the ongoing fight against COVID-19, helping protect ourselves and others. While it may seem a small thing, it makes a big difference in keeping us all safe day to day.

Specialist Services teams- Cop 26

Since the end of October our Specialist Services teams have been deployed at a host of locations throughout the country in conjunction with the COP26 event taking place in Glasgow. Our close protection officers, behavioural detection officers and rope access teams were all deployed throughout the 2-week event. In addition, we continually carried out penetration tests on all our client’s premises to ensure the integrity of each site was at the forefront of our staff’s minds. Our Head of Field Operations, Mark Leonard commented “this event was one of the UK’s largest Policing Operations with around 10,000 officers deployed daily and we were delighted to play our part in supporting visiting delegates, heads of state, royalty and of course the local Glasgow & Edinburgh business communities”.
